Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?+
No limit. You can merge as many files as your browser's memory allows. Most users merge 2โ20 files without any issues.
Will merging PDFs reduce quality?+
No. The merger combines PDF pages directly without re-rendering or re-compressing them, so text, images, and vector graphics remain at their original quality.
Can I reorder pages before merging?+
Yes. Drag the file tiles to set the order before merging. The output PDF follows the order shown on screen.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?+
The tool requires unprotected PDFs. Remove password protection first using the PDF Password tool, then merge.
Is there a maximum file size for PDFs I can merge?+
There is no enforced file size limit - the constraint is your browser's available memory. Files up to 50 MB each work reliably on most devices. For very large PDFs (100 MB or more), a desktop tool like Adobe Acrobat or PDF24 Desktop is more appropriate.
Will merging PDFs preserve bookmarks and hyperlinks?+
Internal bookmarks from each source PDF are preserved in the merged document. Hyperlinks within pages are maintained. Cross-document bookmarks that referenced the original file structure may not resolve correctly after merging.
How do I split a PDF by page range?+
Use the PDF Page Extractor tool - enter the page range you want to keep (for example, 1-5 or 10, 15, 20-25) and download the extracted pages as a new PDF. For splitting into individual pages, all pages are extracted one at a time.
