What is a Gantt chart?+
A Gantt chart is a horizontal bar chart showing project tasks against a calendar timeline. Each bar represents a task - its length shows duration, its position shows start and end dates. Dependencies are shown as arrows between tasks.
How do I set task dependencies in a Gantt chart?+
Click the end of one task bar and drag to the start of the dependent task to create a finish-to-start dependency arrow. The dependent task cannot start before its predecessor finishes.
What is the critical path?+
The critical path is the longest sequence of dependent tasks that determines the project's minimum duration. Delays to any task on the critical path delay the whole project. Enable 'Show critical path' to highlight it.
