Available voices depend on your operating system. Windows includes Microsoft Zira, David, and Mark. macOS includes Alex, Samantha, and many multilingual voices. Chrome on Windows/Mac provides additional Google voices. This tool lists all voices available on your device.
Can I download the audio output as MP3?+
Browser Web Speech Synthesis doesn't natively export audio files. To record: use screen recording software, or use a server-side TTS API (Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, AWS Polly, ElevenLabs) that returns an audio file.
What is the maximum text length?+
Most browsers handle up to 32,767 characters per utterance. For very long texts, the tool automatically splits at sentence boundaries and queues each segment.
